Historic railroad grit meets modern wagyu smash burgers in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs — right alongside the tracks.

Brakemen worked the freight yards in the dark — coupling cars, throwing switches, riding the tops of moving trains. Their job was dangerous, thankless, and absolutely essential. We named this place after them.
In 1942, Colorado Springs' depot was the lifeblood of a town climbing toward the Rockies. Whistles cut the cold. Coal smoke hung over the yard. Brakemen earned their wages with their hands.
We honor that legacy with a simple promise: do the work right. Smash the patty hard. Stack it loud. Pour it cold. Treat the guest like family.
